  1. Or let him take hold of my strength, that he may make peace with me; and he shall make peace with me.

  2. ¶ But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

  3. All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.

  4. Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?

  5. ¶ Therefore, O thou son of man, speak unto the house of Israel; Thus ye speak, saying, If our transgressions and our sins be upon us, and we pine away in them, how should we then live?

  6. Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

  7. Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth.

  8. When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it.

  9. Again, when I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; if he turn from his sin, and do that which is lawful and right;

  10. If the wicked restore the pledge, give again that he had robbed, walk in the statutes of life, without committing iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die.

  11. None of his sins that he hath committed shall be mentioned unto him: he hath done that which is lawful and right; he shall surely live.

  12. Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

  13. For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

  14. But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

  15. Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

  16. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

  17. Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

  18. Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

  19. If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

  20. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

  21. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

  22. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

  23. A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.

  24. Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

  25. For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.
