¶ Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.
For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.
¶ A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife.
Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.
Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools.
It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings;
By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned,
Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds.
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
