  1. The LORD sitteth upon the flood; yea, the LORD sitteth King for ever.

  2. They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.

  3. Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it.

  4. Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly: thou settlest the furrows thereof: thou makest it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing thereof.

  5. Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.

  6. They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side.

  7. Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:

  8. Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind:

  9. At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away.

  10. He watereth the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.

  11. ¶ He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down.

  12. Thou makest darkness, and it is night: wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep forth.

  13. Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God:

  14. Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains.

  15. ¶ Praise the LORD from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps:

  16. Fire, and hail; snow, and vapour; stormy wind fulfilling his word:

  17. ¶ The north wind driveth away rain: so doth an angry countenance a backbiting tongue.

  18. ¶ As snow in summer, and as rain in harvest, so honour is not seemly for a fool.

  19. Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?

  20. The wind goeth toward the south, and turneth about unto the north; it whirleth about continually, and the wind returneth again according to his circuits.

  21. All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return again.

  22. If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth: and if the tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be.

  23. And now go to; I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be eaten up; and break down the wall thereof, and it shall be trodden down:

  24. And I will lay it waste: it shall not be pruned, nor digged; but there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it.

  25. Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.
