  1. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

  12. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.

  13. Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

  14. I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.

  15. For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

  16. But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

  17. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

  18. I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

  19. For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

  20. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

  21. ¶ For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

  22. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:

  23. If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.

  24. For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.

  25. Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.
