  1. They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.

  2. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?

  3. When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?

  4. She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

  5. But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.

  6. That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

  7. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

  8. Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

  9. Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

  10. So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

  11. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

  12. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.

  13. ¶ It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.

  14. And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.

  15. For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,

  16. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,

  17. To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

  18. Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?

  19. ¶ Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

  20. Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

  21. ¶ I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:

  22. Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.

  23. But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

  24. For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?

  25. But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.
