Bible Verses About Industry
Key Bible Verses
She maketh sheetes, and selleth them, and giueth girdels vnto the marchant.
Strength and honour is her clothing, and in the latter day she shall reioyce.
She openeth her mouth with wisdome, and the lawe of grace is in her tongue.
She ouerseeth the wayes of her housholde, and eateth not the bread of ydlenes.
Her children rise vp, and call her blessed: her husband also shall prayse her, saying,
Many daughters haue done vertuously: but thou surmountest them all.
Fauour is deceitfull, and beautie is vanitie: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praysed.
Giue her of the fruite of her hands, and let her owne workes prayse her in the gates.
And whatsoeuer mine eyes desired, I withheld it not from them: I withdrew not mine heart from any ioy: for mine heart reioyced in al my labour: and this was my portion of all my trauaile.
Then I looked on all my workes that mine hands had wrought, and on the trauaile that I had laboured to doe: and beholde, all is vanitie and vexation of the spirit: and there is no profite vnder the sunne.
Therefore I hated life: for the worke that is wrought vnder the sunne is grieuous vnto me: for all is vanitie, and vexation of the spirit.
I hated also all my labour, wherein I had trauailed vnder the sunne, which I shall leaue to the man that shalbe after me.
And who knoweth whether he shalbe wise or foolish? yet shall hee haue rule ouer all my labour, wherein I haue trauailed, and wherein I haue shewed my selfe wise vnder the sunne. This is also vanitie.
Therefore I went about to make mine heart abhorre all the labour, wherein I had trauailed vnder the sunne.
For there is a man whose trauaile is in wisdome, and in knowledge and in equitie: yet to a man that hath not trauailed herein, shall he giue his portion: this also is vanitie and a great griefe.
For what hath man of all his trauaile and griefe of his heart, wherein he hath trauailed vnder the sunne?
And that ye studie to be quiet, and to meddle with your owne busines, and to worke with your owne handes, as we commanded you,
That yee may behaue your selues honestly towarde them that are without, and that nothing be lacking vnto you.
For euen when we were with you, this we warned you of, that if there were any, which would not worke, that he should not eate.
For we heare, that there are some which walke among you inordinately, and worke not at all, but are busie bodies.
Therefore them that are such, we warne and exhort by our Lord Iesus Christ, that they worke with quietnes, and eate their owne bread.
