  1. And Dauid said vnto Gad, I am in a wonderfull strait: let vs fall nowe into the hand of the Lord, (for his mercies are great) and let mee not fall into the hand of man.

  2. If they obey and serue him, they shall end their dayes in prosperity, and their yeres in pleasures.

  3. But if they wil not obey, they shall passe by the sworde, and perish without knowledge.

  4. But if this nation, against whom I haue pronounced, turne from their wickednesse, I will repent of the plague that I thought to bring vpon them.

  5. And I wil speake suddenly concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdome to builde it and to plant it.

  6. But if it do euill in my sight and heare not my voyce, I will repent of ye good that I thought to do for them.

  7. For if ye do this thing, then shall the kings sitting vpon the throne of Dauid enter in by the gates of this House, and ride vpon charets, and vpon horses, both he and his seruants and his people.

  8. But if ye will not heare these wordes, I sweare by my selfe, saith the Lord, that this House shalbe waste.

  9. Againe when I shall say vnto the wicked, thou shalt die the death, if he turne from his sinne, and doe that which is lawfull and right,

  10. To wit, if the wicked restore the pledge, and giue againe that he had robbed, and walke in the statutes of life, without committing iniquitie, he shall surely liue, and not die.

  11. None of his sinnes that he hath comitted, shall be mentioned vnto him: because he hath done that, which is lawful, and right, he shall surely liue.

  12. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branche, and withereth: and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they burne.

  13. If ye abide in me, and my wordes abide in you, aske what ye wil, and it shalbe done to you.

  14. In that body of his flesh through death, to make you holy, and vnblameable and without fault in his sight,

  15. If ye continue, grounded and stablished in the faith, and be not moued away from the hope of the Gospel, whereof ye haue heard, and which hath bene preached to euery creature which is vnder heauen, whereof I Paul am a minister.

  16. And then shall that wicked man be reueiled, whome the Lord shall consume with the Spirit of his mouth, and shall abolish with the brightnes of his comming,

  17. Euen him whose comming is by the effectuall working of Satan, with all power, and signes, and lying wonders,

  18. And in al deceiuablenes of vnrighteousnes, among them that perish, because they receiued not the loue of the trueth, that they might be saued.
