  1. And David said to Gad: I am in a great strait: but it is better that I should fall into the hands of the Lord (for his mercies are many) than into the hands of men.

  2. If they shall hear and observe, they shall accomplish their days in good, and their years in glory.

  3. But if they hear not, they shall pass by the sword, and shall be consumed in folly.

  4. If that nation against which I have spoken, shall repent of their evil, I also will repent of the evil that I have thought to do to them.

  9. And it I shall say to the wicked: Thou shalt surely die: and he do penance for his sin, and do judgment and justice,

  10. And if that wicked man restore the pledge, and render what he had robbed, and walk in the commandments of life, and do no unjust thing: he shall surely live, and shall not die.

  11. None of his sins, which he hath committed, shall be imputed to him: he hath done judgment and justice, he shall surely live.

  12. If any one abide not in me, he shall be cast forth as a branch and shall wither: and they shall gather him up and cast him into the fire: and he burneth.

  13. If you abide in me and my words abide in you, you shall ask whatever you will: and it shall be done unto you.

  14. Yet now he hath reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unspotted and blameless before him:

  15. If so ye continue in the faith, grounded and settled, and immoveable from the hope of the gospel which you have heard, which is preached in all the creation that is under heaven: whereof I Paul am made a minister.

  16. And then that wicked one shall be revealed: whom the Lord Jesus shall kill with the spirit of his mouth and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: him

  17. Whose coming is according to the working of Satan, in all power and signs and lying wonders:

  18. And in all seduction of iniquity to them that perish: because they receive not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. Therefore God shall send them the operation of error, to believe lying:
