  1. And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of Jehovah; for his mercies are great; and let me not fall into the hand of man.

  2. If they hearken and serve him, They shall spend their days in prosperity, And their years in pleasures.

  3. But if they hearken not, they shall perish by the sword, And they shall die without knowledge.

  4. if that nation, concerning which I have spoken, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them.

  8. But if ye will not hear these words, I swear by myself, saith Jehovah, that this house shall become a desolation.

  9. Again, when I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; if he turn from his sin, and do that which is lawful and right;

  10. if the wicked restore the pledge, give again that which he had taken by robbery, walk in the statutes of life, committing no iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die.

  11. None of his sins that he hath committed shall be remembered against him: he hath done that which is lawful and right; he shall surely live.

  12. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

  13. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatsoever ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

  14. yet now hath he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and without blemish and unreproveable before him:

  15. if so be that ye continue in the faith, grounded and stedfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel which ye heard, which was preached in all creation under heaven; whereof I Paul was made a minister.

  16. And then shall be revealed the lawless one, whom the Lord Jesus shall slay with the breath of his mouth, and bring to nought by the manifestation of his coming;

  17. even he, whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

  18. and with all deceit of unrighteousness for them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
