  1. Now therfore as the elect of God holy and beloued, put on the bowels of mercies, kindnesse, humblenesse of minde, meekenesse, long suffering:

  2. Forbearing one another, and forgiuing one another, if any man haue a quarel to another: euen as Christ forgaue, euen so doe ye.

  3. And aboue all these thinges put on loue, which is the bond of perfectnes.

  4. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which ye are called in one body, and be ye thankfull.

  5. Let the worde of Christ dwell in you plenteously in all wisdome, teaching and admonishing your owne selues, in Psalmes, and hymnes, and spirituall songs, singing with a grace in your hearts to the Lord.

  6. And whatsoeuer ye shall doe, in worde or deede, doe all in the Name of the Lord Iesus, giuing thankes to God euen the Father by him.

  7. And not in the lust of concupiscence, euen as the Gentiles which know not God:

  8. That no man oppresse or defraude his brother in any matter: for the Lord is auenger of all such thinges, as we also haue tolde you before time, and testified.

  9. But as touching brotherly loue, ye neede not that I write vnto you: for ye are taught of God to loue one another.

  10. Yea, and that thing verily yee doe vnto all the brethren, which are throughout all Macedonia: but we beseech you, brethren, that ye increase more and more,

  11. And that ye studie to be quiet, and to meddle with your owne busines, and to worke with your owne handes, as we commanded you,

  12. That yee may behaue your selues honestly towarde them that are without, and that nothing be lacking vnto you.

  13. Nowe we beseeche you, brethren, that ye acknowledge them, which labour among you, and are ouer you in the Lord, and admonish you,

  14. That yee haue them in singular loue for their workes sake. Bee at peace among your selues.

  15. We desire you, brethren, admonish them that are out of order: comfort ye feeble minded: beare with the weake: be pacient toward all men.

  16. See that none recompense euil for euil vnto any man: but euer follow that which is good, both toward your selues, and toward all men.

  17. Reioyce euermore.

  18. Pray continually.

  19. In all thinges giue thankes: for this is the will of God in Christ Iesus toward you.

  20. Quench not the Spirit.

  21. Despise not prophecying.

  22. Try all things, and keepe that which is good.

  23. Absteine from all appearance of euill.

  24. We warne you, brethren, in the Name of our Lord Iesus Christ, that ye withdrawe your selues from euery brother that walketh inordinately, and not after the instruction, which hee receiued of vs.

  25. For ye your selues know, how ye ought to follow vs: for we behaued not our selues inordinately among you,
