Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
Ye children, reverence your parents. Ye parents, "bring up your children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord." May I have pleasure in your purity, as that of Elijah, or as of Joshua the son of Nun, as of Melchizedek, or as of Elisha, as of Jeremiah, or as of John the Baptist, as of the beloved disciple, as of Timothy, as of Titus, as of Evodius, as of Clement, who departed this life in [perfect] chastity, Not, however, that I blame the other blessed [saints] because they entered into the married state, of which I have just spoken. For I pray that, being found worthy of God, I may be found at their feet in the kingdom, as at the feet of Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob; as of Joseph, and Isaiah, and the rest of the prophets; as of Peter, and Paul, and the rest of the apostles, that were married men. Now [the Scripture] says, "A righteous father educates [his children] well; his heart shall rejoice in a wise son."
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)
To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?
Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.
Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins:
But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
