  1. And Jesus saith to him: If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

  10. Amen I say to you that whosoever shall say to this mountain, Be thou removed and be cast into the sea, and shall not stagger in his heart, but be believe that whatsoever he saith shall be done; it shall be done unto him.

  11. Therefore I say unto you, all things, whatsoever you ask when ye pray, believe that you shall receive: and they shall come unto you.

  12. But they going forth preached every where: the Lord working withal, and confirming the word with signs that followed.

  13. And the devil said to him: If thou be the Son of God, say to this stone that it be made bread.

  14. And he said to him: To thee will I give all this power and the glory of them. For to me they are delivered: and to whom I will, I give them.

  15. Now when he had ceased to speak, he said to Simon: Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a draught.

  16. And Simon answering said to him: Master, we have laboured all the night and have taken nothing: but at thy word I will let down the net.

  17. And when they had done this, they enclosed a very great multitude of fishes: and their net broke.

  18. And they beckoned to their partners that were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came and filled both the ships, so that they were almost sinking.

  19. Which when Simon Peter saw, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying: Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord.

  20. For he was wholly astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken.

  21. And so were also James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were Simon's partners. And Jesus saith to Simon: Fear not: from henceforth thou shalt catch men.

  22. And having brought their ships to land, leaving all things, they followed him.

  23. And all were astonished: and they glorified God. And they were filled with fear, saying: We have seen wonderful things to-day.

  24. And when the men were come unto him, they said: John the Baptist hath sent us to thee, saying: Art thou he that art to come? Or look we for another?

  25. (And in that same hour, he cured many of their diseases and hurts and evil spirits: and to many that were blind he gave sight.)
