  1. Now therefore perform ye it also in deed: that as your mind is forward to be willing, so it may be also to perform, out of that which you have.

  2. For if the will be forward, it is accepted according to that which a man hath: not according to that which he hath not.

  10. And he that ministereth seed to the sower will both give you bread to eat and will multiply your seed and increase the growth of the fruits of your justice:

  11. That being enriched in all things, you may abound unto all simplicity which worketh through us thanksgiving to God.

  12. Because the administration of this office doth not only supply the want of the saints, but aboundeth also by many thanksgivings in the Lord.

  13. By the proof of this ministry, glorifying God for the obedience of your confession unto the gospel of Christ and for the simplicity of your communicating unto them and unto all.

  14. Nevertheless, you have done well in communicating to my tribulation.

  15. And you also know, O Philippians, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but you only.

  16. For unto Thessalonica also you sent once and again for my use.

  17. Charge the rich of this world not to be highminded nor to trust in the uncertainty of riches, but in the living God (who giveth us abundantly all things to enjoy)

  18. To do good, to be rich in good work, to give easily, to communicate to others,

  19. To lay up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on the true life.

  20. What shall it profit, my brethren, if a man say he hath faith, but hath not works? Shall faith be able to save him?

  21. And if a brother or sister be naked and want daily food:

  22. And one of you say to them: Go in peace, be ye warmed and filled; yet give them not those things that are necessary for the body, what shall it profit?

  23. He that hath the substance of this world and shall see his brother in need and shall shut up his bowels from him: how doth the charity of God abide in him?

  24. My little children, let us not love in word nor in tongue, but in deed and in truth.
