Bible Verses About Judgment

And the first came saying: Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.

And he said to him: Well done, thou good servant, because thou hast been faithful in a little, thou shalt have power over ten cities.

And the second came, saying: Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.

And he said to him: Be thou also over five cities.

And another came, saying: Lord, behold here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin.

For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up what thou didst not lay down: and thou reapest that which thou didst not sow.

He saith to him: Out of thy own mouth I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up what I laid not down and reaping that which I did not sow.

And why then didst thou not give my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have exacted it with usury?

And he said to them that stood by: Take the pound away from him and give it to him that hath ten pounds.

And they said to him: Lord, he hath ten pounds.

But I say to you that to every one that hath shall be given, and he shall abound: and from him that hath not, even that which he hath shall be taken from him.

And in the hearing of all the people, he said to his disciples:

Beware of the scribes, who desire to walk in long robes and love salutations in the market place and the first chairs in the synagogues and the chief rooms at feasts:

Who devour the houses of widows, feigning long prayer. These shall receive greater damnation.

And I will shew wonders in the heaven above, and signs on the earth beneath: blood and fire, and vapour of smoke.

The sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood, before the great and manifest day of the Lord to come.

And it shalt come to pass, that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

But according to thy hardness and impenitent heart, thou treasurest up to thyself wrath, against the day of wrath and revelation of the just judgment of God:

Who will render to every man according to his works.

To them indeed who, according to patience in good work, seek glory and honour and incorruption, eternal life:

But to them that are contentious and who obey not the truth but give credit to iniquity, wrath and indignation.

Tribulation and anguish upon every soul of man that worketh evil: of the Jew first, and also of the Greek.

But glory and honour and peace to every one that worketh good: to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

For whosoever have sinned without the law shall perish without the law: and whosoever have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law.

For not the hearers of the law are just before God: but the doers of the law shall be justified.
