And I said: Ah, ah, ah, Lord God: behold, I cannot speak, for I am a child.
And the Lord said to me: Say not: I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee: and whatsoever I shall command thee, thou shalt speak.
Be not afraid at their presence: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the Lord.
And the Lord put forth his hand, and touched my mouth: and the Lord said to me: Behold I have given my words in thy mouth:
Lo, I have set thee this day over the nations, and over kingdoms, to root up, and to pull down, and to waste, and to destroy, and to build, and to plant.
But he said to another: Follow me. And he said: Lord, suffer me first to go and to bury my father.
And Jesus said to him: Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.
And another said: I will follow thee, Lord; but let me first take my leave of them that are at my house.
Jesus said to him: No man putting his hand to the plough and looking back is fit for the kingdom of God.
And they began all at once to make excuse. The first said to him: I have bought a farm and I must needs go out and see it. I pray thee, hold me excused.
And another said: I have bought five yoke of oxen and I go to try them. I pray thee, hold me excused.
And another said: I have married a wife; and therefore I cannot come.
