  1. And Jesus, having compassion on him, stretched forth his hand and touching him saith to him: I will. Be thou made clean.

  2. And when he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him: and he was made clean.

  3. And he strictly charged him and forthwith sent him away.

  4. And he saith to him: See thou tell no one; but go, shew thyself to the high priest and offer for thy cleansing the things that Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.

  7. And they watched him whether he would heal on the sabbath days, that they might accuse him.

  8. And he said to the man who had the withered hand: Stand up in the midst.

  9. And he saith to them: Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? To save life, or to destroy? But they held their peace.

  10. And looking round about on them with anger, being grieved for the blindness of their hearts, he saith to the man: Stretch forth thy hand. And he stretched it forth: and his hand was restored unto him.

  11. And the Pharisees going out, immediately made a consultation with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.

  12. And when he had finished all his words in the hearing of the people, he entered into Capharnaum.

  13. And the servant of a certain centurion who was dear to him, being sick, was ready to die.

  14. And when he had heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the ancients of the Jews, desiring him to come and heal his servant.

  15. And when they came to Jesus, they besought him earnestly, saying to him: He is worthy that thou shouldest do this for him.

  16. For he loveth our nation: and he hath built us a synagogue.

  17. And Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent his friends to him, saying: Lord, trouble not thyself; for I am not worthy that thou shouldst enter under my roof.

  18. For which cause neither did I think myself worthy to come to thee: but say the word, and my servant shall be healed.

  19. For I also am a man subject to authority, having under me soldiers: and I say to one, Go, and he goeth: and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doth it.

  20. Which Jesus hearing, marvelled: and turning about to the multitude that followed him, he said: Amen I say to you, I have not found so great faith, not even in Israel.

  21. And they who were sent, being returned to the house, found the servant whole who had been sick.

  22. He came again therefore into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain ruler, whose son was sick at Capharnaum.

  23. He having heard that Jesus was come from Judea into Galilee, sent to him and prayed him to come down and heal his son: for he was at the point of death.

  24. Jesus therefore said to him: Unless you see signs and wonders, you believe not.

  25. The ruler saith to him: Lord, come down before that my son die.
