  1. Going therefore, teach ye all nations: baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost.

  2. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you. And behold I am with you all days, even to the consummation of the world.

  3. And he made that twelve should be with him, and that he might send them to preach.

  4. And he gave them power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils.

  5. And he called the twelve; and began to send them two and two, and gave them power over unclean spirits.

  6. And he commanded them that they should take nothing for the way, but a staff only; no scrip, no bread, nor money in their purse,

  7. But to be shod with sandals, and that they should not put on two coats.

  8. And he said to them: Wheresoever you shall enter into an house, there abide till you depart from that place.

  9. And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you; going forth from thence, shake off the dust from your feet for a testimony to them.

  10. Then calling together the twelve apostles, he gave them power and authority over all devils and to cure diseases.

  11. And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.

  12. And he said to them: Take nothing for your journey, neither staff, nor scrip, nor bread, nor money; neither have two coats.

  13. And whatsoever house you shall enter into, abide there and depart not from thence.

  14. And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off even the dust of your feet, for a testimony against them.

  15. And you are they who have continued with me in my temptations:

  16. And I dispose to you, as my Father hath disposed to me, a kingdom;

  17. That you may eat and drink at my table, in my kingdom: and may sit upon thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

  18. When therefore they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter: Simon, son of John, lovest thou me more than these? He saith to him: Yea, Lord, thou knowest that I love thee. He saith to him: Feed my lambs.

  19. He saith to him again: Simon, son of John, lovest thou me? He saith to him: yea, Lord, thou knowest that I love thee. He saith to him: Feed my lambs.

  20. He said to him the third time: Simon, son of John, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he had said to him the third time: Lovest thou me? And he said to him: Lord, thou knowest all things: thou knowest that I love thee. He said to him: Feed my sheep.

  21. Amen, amen, I say to thee, When thou wast younger, thou didst gird thyself and didst walk where thou wouldst. But when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee and lead thee whither thou wouldst not.

  22. And this he said, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had said this, he saith to him: Follow me.
