  12. And thou gavest them kingdoms, and nations, and didst divide lots for them: and they possessed the land of Sehon, and the land of the king of Hesebon, and the land of Og king of Basan.

  13. Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.

  14. Draw me out of the mire, that I may not stick fast: deliver me from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters.

  15. And they gave me gall for my food, and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.

  16. Who brought out Israel from among them: for his mercy endureth for ever.

  17. And Og the king of Bashan: for his mercy endureth for ever:

  18. And upon all the tall and lofty cedars of Libanus, and upon all the oaks of Basan.

  19. The land hath mourned, and languished: Libanus is confounded, and become foul, and Saron is become as a desert: and Basan and Carmel are shaken.

  20. Go up to Libanus, and cry: and lift up thy voice in Basan, and cry to them that pass by, for all thy lovers are destroyed.

  21. And I will bring Israel again to his habitation: and he shall feed on Carmel, and Bason, and his soul shall be satisfied in mount Ephraim, and Galaad.

  22. They have cut thy oars out of the oaks of Basan: and they have made thee benches of Indian ivory and cabins with things brought from the islands of Italy.

  23. You shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and you shall drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, and of lambs, and of he goats, and bullocks, and of all that are well fed and fat.

  24. Hear this word, ye fat kine that are in the mountains of Samaria: you that oppress the needy, and crush the poor: that say to your masters: Bring, and we will drink.

  25. Feed thy people with thy rod, the flock of thy inheritance, them that dwell alone in the forest, in the midst of Carmel: they shall feed in Basan and Galaad, according to the days of old.
