Kefa said to Yeshua, "It's good that we're here, Lord. I'll put up three shelters if you want -- one for you, one for Moshe and one for Eliyahu."

They said to him, "Then why did Moshe give the commandment that a man should hand his wife a get and divorce her?"

He answered, "Moshe allowed you to divorce your wives because your hearts are so hardened. But this is not how it was at the beginning.

"Rabbi, Moshe said, `If a man dies childless, his brother must marry his widow and have children to preserve the man's family line.'

"See to it that you tell no one; instead, as a testimony to the people, go and let the cohen examine you, and offer for your cleansing what Moshe commanded."

For Moshe said, `Honor your father and your mother,' and `Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.'

Then they saw Eliyahu and Moshe speaking with Yeshua.

Kefa said to Yeshua, "It's good that we're here, Rabbi! Let's put up three shelters -- one for you, one for Moshe and one for Eliyahu."

He replied, "What did Moshe command you?"

They said, "Moshe allowed a man to hand his wife a get and divorce her."

"Rabbi, Moshe wrote for us that if a man's brother dies and leaves a wife but no child, his brother must take the wife and have children to preserve the man's family line.

And as for the dead being raised, haven't you read in the book of Moshe, in the passage about the bush, how God said to him, `I am the God of Avraham, the God of Yitz'chak and the God of Ya`akov'?

When the time came for their purification according to the Torah of Moshe, they took him up to Yerushalayim to present him to ADONAI

Then Yeshua warned him not to tell anyone. "Instead, as a testimony to the people, go straight to the cohen and make an offering for your cleansing, as Moshe commanded."

Suddenly there were two men talking with him — Moshe and Eliyahu!

As the men were leaving Yeshua, Kefa said to him, not knowing what he was saying, “It’s good that we’re here, Rabbi! Let’s put up three shelters — one for you, one for Moshe and one for Eliyahu.”

But Avraham said, ‘They have Moshe and the Prophets; they should listen to them.’

But he replied, ‘If they won’t listen to Moshe and the Prophets, they won’t be convinced even if someone rises from the dead!’”

and put to him a sh’eilah: “Rabbi, Moshe wrote for us that if a man dies leaving a wife but no children, his brother must take the wife and have children to preserve the man’s family line.

“But even Moshe showed that the dead are raised; for in the passage about the bush, he calls Adonai ‘the God of Avraham, the God of Yitz’chak and the God of Ya‘akov.’

Then, starting with Moshe and all the prophets, he explained to them the things that can be found throughout the Tanakh concerning himself.

Yeshua said to them, “This is what I meant when I was still with you and told you that everything written about me in the Torah of Moshe, the Prophets and the Psalms had to be fulfilled.”

For the Torah was given through Moshe; grace and truth came through Yeshua the Messiah.

Philip found Natan’el and told him, “We’ve found the one that Moshe wrote about in the Torah, also the Prophets — it’s Yeshua Ben-Yosef from Natzeret!”

Just as Moshe lifted up the serpent in the desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up;
