  1. Therefore let us go to Him outside the camp, bearing the disgrace He bore.

  13. For if God did not spare the angels when they sinned, but cast them deep into hell, placing them in chains of darkness to be held for judgment;

  14. if He did not spare the ancient world when He brought the flood on its ungodly people, but preserved Noah, a preacher of righteousness, among the eight;

  15. Therefore, beloved, as you anticipate these things, make every effort to be found at peace—spotless and blameless in His sight.

  16. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.

  17. Beloved, you are faithful in what you are doing for the brothers, and especially since they are strangers to you.

  18. They have testified to the church about your love. You will do well to send them on their way in a manner worthy of God.

  19. For they went out on behalf of the Name, accepting nothing from the Gentiles.

  20. Beloved, although I made every effort to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt it necessary to write and urge you to contend earnestly for the faith entrusted once for all to the saints.

  21. And indeed, have mercy on those who doubt;

  22. save others by snatching them from the fire; and to still others show mercy tempered with fear, hating even the clothing stained by the flesh.

  23. Those I love, I rebuke and discipline. Therefore be earnest and repent.

  24. And I began to weep bitterly, because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or look inside it.

  25. Then one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep! Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed to open the scroll and its seven seals.”
