  1. While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”

  2. And after they had fasted and prayed, they laid their hands on them and sent them off.

  8. And when the blood of Your witness Stephen was shed, I stood there giving my approval and watching over the garments of those who killed him.’

  9. Then He said to me, ‘Go! I will send you far away to the Gentiles.’”

  10. I am speaking to you Gentiles. Inasmuch as I am the apostle to the Gentiles, I magnify my ministry

  11. to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles in the priestly service of the gospel of God, so that the Gentiles might become an offering acceptable to God, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

  12. But when God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb and called me by His grace, was pleased

  13. to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not rush to consult with flesh and blood,

  14. nor did I go up to Jerusalem to the apostles who came before me, but I went into Arabia and later returned to Damascus.

  15. Only after three years did I go up to Jerusalem to confer with Cephas, and I stayed with him fifteen days.

  16. But I saw none of the other apostles except James, the Lord’s brother.

  17. I assure you before God that what I am writing to you is no lie.

  18. Later I went to the regions of Syria and Cilicia.

  19. I was personally unknown, however, to the churches of Judea that are in Christ.

  20. They only heard the account: “The man who formerly persecuted us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy.”

  21. And they glorified God because of me.
