  1. Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly await the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  10. As a prisoner in the Lord, then, I urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling you have received:

  11. with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love,

  12. so that you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord and may please Him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,

  13. being strengthened with all power according to His glorious might so that you may have full endurance and patience, and joyfully

  14. Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with hearts of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.

  15. Bear with one another and forgive any complaint you may have against someone else. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

  16. and continually recalling before our God and Father your work of faith, your labor of love, and your enduring hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.

  17. And we urge you, brothers, to admonish the unruly, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, and be patient with everyone.

  18. That is why we boast among God’s churches about your perseverance and faith in the face of all the persecution and affliction you are enduring.

  19. May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.

  20. An overseer, then, must be above reproach, the husband of but one wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach,

  21. not dependent on wine, not violent but gentle, peaceable, and free of the love of money.

  22. But you, O man of God, flee from these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.

  23. And a servant of the Lord must not be quarrelsome, but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, and forbearing.

  24. He must gently reprove those who oppose him, in the hope that God may grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth.
