  1. For this reason God gave them over to dishonorable passions. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones.

  2. Likewise, the men abandoned natural relations with women and burned with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

  3. Furthermore, since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, He gave them up to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done.

  4. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed, and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, and malice. They are gossips,

  5. Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who submit to or perform homosexual acts,

  6. nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.

  7. Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never!

  8. Or don’t you know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.”

  9. But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with Him in spirit.

  10. Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a man can commit is outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body.

  11. The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery;

  12. idolatry and sorcery; hatred, discord, jealousy, and rage; rivalries, divisions, factions,

  13. and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

  14. So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking.

  15. They are darkened in their understanding and alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardness of their hearts.

  16. Having lost all sense of shame, they have given themselves over to sensuality for the practice of every kind of impurity, with a craving for more.

  17. Consequently, he does not live out his remaining time on earth for human passions, but for the will of God.

  18. For you have spent enough time in the past carrying out the same desires as the Gentiles: living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing, and detestable idolatry.
