  1. but Jehovah hath not given you a heart to know, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day.

  15. The fear of Jehovah is a fountain of life, That one may depart from the snares of death.

  16. The plans of the heart belong to man; But the answer of the tongue is from Jehovah.

  17. Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;

  18. learn to do well; seek justice, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.

  19. and I will turn my hand upon thee, and thoroughly purge away thy dross, and will take away all thy tin;

  20. when the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof, by the spirit of justice, and by the spirit of burning.

  21. Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

  22. Jehovah, thou wilt ordain peace for us; for thou hast also wrought all our works for us.

  23. But when he seeth his children, the work of my hands, in the midst of him, they shall sanctify my name; yea, they shall sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and shall stand in awe of the God of Israel.

  24. And the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken.

  25. And the heart of the rash shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly.
