  1. And he said, I have been very jealous for Jehovah, the God of hosts; for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.

  20. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: My flesh also shall dwell in safety.

  21. For thou wilt not leave my soul to Sheol; Neither wilt thou suffer thy holy one to see corruption.

  22. Thou wilt show me the path of life: In thy presence is fulness of joy; In thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

  23. Therefore I will give thanks unto thee, O Jehovah, among the nations, And will sing praises unto thy name.

  24. Their line is gone out through all the earth, And their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,

  25. My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Why art thou sofar from helping me, and from the words of my groaning?
