  13. Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done?

  14. Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

  15. Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end have I been born, and to this end am I come into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

  16. Then Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him.

  17. Jesus therefore came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple garment. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold, the man!

  18. where they crucified him, and with him two others, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst.

  20. howbeit one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and straightway there came out blood and water.

  21. For these things came to pass, that the scripture might be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken.

  22. And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced.

  23. The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.

  24. And when he had said these things, as they were looking, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

  25. he foreseeing this spake of the resurrection of the Christ, that neither was he left unto Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption.
