  1. As it is written, “He has scattered abroad, he has given to the poor. His righteousness remains forever.”

  11. For it is written, “Rejoice, you barren who don’t bear. Break out and shout, you that don’t travail. For more are the children of the desolate than of her who has a husband.”

  12. However what does the Scripture say? “Throw out the handmaid and her son, for the son of the handmaid will not inherit with the son of the free woman.”

  13. Therefore he says, “When he ascended on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men.”

  14. Therefore putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For we are members of one another.

  15. “Be angry, and don’t sin.” Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath,

  16. “For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife. The two will become one flesh.”

  17. “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with a promise:

  18. “that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth.”

  19. For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle the ox when it treads out the grain.” And, “The laborer is worthy of his wages.”

  20. However God’s firm foundation stands, having this seal, “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Let every one who names the name of the Lord depart from unrighteousness.”

  21. For to which of the angels did he say at any time, “You are my Son. Today have I become your father?” and again, “I will be to him a Father, and he will be to me a Son?”

  22. When he again brings in the firstborn into the world he says, “Let all the angels of God worship him.”

  23. Of the angels he says, “Who makes his angels winds, and his servants a flame of fire.”

  24. But of the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. The scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your Kingdom.

  25. You have loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellows.”
