  1. There are some who pretend to be rich, yet have nothing. There are some who pretend to be poor, yet have great wealth.

  2. He who seeks his life will lose it; and he who loses his life for my sake will find it.

  3. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, and whoever will lose his life for my sake will find it.

  4. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it; and whoever will lose his life for my sake and the sake of the Good News will save it.

  17. and to know Messiah’s love which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

  18. However, what things were gain to me, these have I counted loss for Messiah.

  19. The construction of its wall was jasper. The city was pure gold, like pure glass.

  20. The twelve gates were twelve pearls. Each one of the gates was made of one pearl. The street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.
