  1. There is that maketh himself rich, yet hath nothing: There is that maketh himself poor, yet hath great wealth.

  2. He that findeth his life shall lose it; and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

  12. how that he was caught up into Paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

  13. Wherefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

  14. I am become foolish: ye compelled me; for I ought to have been commended of you: for in nothing was I behind the very chiefest apostles, though I am nothing.

  15. that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; to the end that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

  16. may be strong to apprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,

  17. and to know the love of Christ which passeth knowledge, that ye may be filled unto all the fulness of God.

  18. Howbeit what things were gain to me, these have I counted loss for Christ.

  19. And the building of the wall thereof was jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto pure glass.

  20. And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; each one of the several gates was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
