  14. For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:

  15. They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.

  16. To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things;

  17. Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;

  18. Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked;

  19. Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths:

  20. To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;

  21. Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.

  22. For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.

  23. None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life.

  24. For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall.

  25. ¶ A naughty person, a wicked man, walketh with a froward mouth.
