  1. Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.

  2. Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created.

  3. He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass.

  9. ¶ Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name:

  10. If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.

  11. Thus saith the LORD the maker thereof, the LORD that formed it, to establish it; the LORD is his name;

  12. As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me.

  13. And when I shall put thee out, I will cover the heaven, and make the stars thereof dark; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give her light.

  14. And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them.

  15. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

  16. The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:

  17. The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.

  18. Seek him that maketh the seven stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night: that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name:

  19. But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves.

  20. Though thou exalt thyself as the eagle, and though thou set thy nest among the stars, thence will I bring thee down, saith the LORD.

  21. Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

  23. Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.

  24. And when neither sun nor stars in many days appeared, and no small tempest lay on us, all hope that we should be saved was then taken away.

  25. There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.
