  1. So that his life abhorreth bread, and his soul dainty meat.

  15. But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom.

  16. The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.

  17. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

  18. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

  19. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

  20. Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

  21. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

  22. ¶ A Psalm of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

  23. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

  24. Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

  25. ¶ Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.
