  1. ¶ Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.

  11. They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep.

  12. ¶ But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded.

  13. So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away.

  14. And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing.

  15. The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.

  16. ¶ To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, to bring to remembrance. Make haste, O God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O LORD.

  17. Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt.

  18. Let them be turned back for a reward of their shame that say, Aha, aha.

  19. Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.

  20. But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O LORD, make no tarrying.

  21. ¶ A Psalm of Asaph. O God, the heathen are come into thine inheritance; thy holy temple have they defiled; they have laid Jerusalem on heaps.

  22. The dead bodies of thy servants have they given to be meat unto the fowls of the heaven, the flesh of thy saints unto the beasts of the earth.

  23. Their blood have they shed like water round about Jerusalem; and there was none to bury them.

  24. We are become a reproach to our neighbours, a scorn and derision to them that are round about us.

  25. How long, LORD? wilt thou be angry for ever? shall thy jealousy burn like fire?
