  8. Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;

  9. Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

  10. Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.

  11. And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

  12. ¶ Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

  13. I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.

  14. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

  15. That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

  16. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

  17. Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

  18. Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

  19. ¶ Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

  20. Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.

  21. ¶ Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.

  22. That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

  23. And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled

  24. In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

  25. If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
