  1. And as touching the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?

  2. He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.

  3. ¶ And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

  4. He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?

  7. Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

  8. Now that the dead are raised, even Moses shewed at the bush, when he calleth the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.

  9. For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.

  10. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

  11. That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

  12. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

  13. Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

  14. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

  15. And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

  16. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

  17. This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.

  18. I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

  19. Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.

  20. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

  21. Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

  22. And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

  23. As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.

  24. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

  25. For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, neither angel, nor spirit: but the Pharisees confess both.
