  1. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

  2. For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

  3. Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

  4. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

  5. When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

  6. Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

  7. And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

  8. Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

  10. I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

  11. Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

  12. Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

  13. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

  14. Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor thy rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee.

  15. But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind:

  16. And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.

  17. ¶ I commend unto you Phebe our sister, which is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea:

  18. That ye receive her in the Lord, as becometh saints, and that ye assist her in whatsoever business she hath need of you: for she hath been a succourer of many, and of myself also.

  19. For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;

  20. But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;

  21. Use hospitality one to another without grudging.

  22. As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

  23. If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

  24. Beloved, thou doest faithfully whatsoever thou doest to the brethren, and to strangers;

  25. Which have borne witness of thy charity before the church: whom if thou bring forward on their journey after a godly sort, thou shalt do well:
