  1. And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir.

  20. If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

  21. And he brought up Hadassah, that is, Esther, his uncle's daughter: for she had neither father nor mother, and the maid was fair and beautiful; whom Mordecai, when her father and mother were dead, took for his own daughter.

  22. My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:

  23. For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

  24. ¶ In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.

  25. Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.
