¶ And it came to pass on the second sabbath after the first, that he went through the corn fields; and his disciples plucked the ears of corn, and did eat, rubbing [them] in [their] hands.
Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped [it]. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave [it] to Judas Iscariot, [the son] of Simon.
He then having received the sop went immediately out: and it was night.
Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.
¶ What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.

And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly.
And he answered and said, He that dippeth [his] hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me.
And he answered and said unto them, [It is] one of the twelve, that dippeth with me in the dish.
When thou comest into the standing corn of thy neighbour, then thou mayest pluck the ears with thine hand; but thou shalt not move a sickle unto thy neighbour's standing corn.
And it came to pass, that he went through the corn fields on the sabbath day; and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of corn.
Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
¶ At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat.
For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.
And they began to be sorrowful, and to say unto him one by one, [Is] it I? and another [said, Is] it I?
Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?
He spake of Judas Iscariot [the son] of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.
¶ But, behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me [is] with me on the table.
Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts [are] thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction [are] in their paths.
Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's [son], which should betray him,
This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.
¶ They are of those that rebel against the light; they know not the ways thereof, nor abide in the paths thereof.
The eye also of the adulterer waiteth for the twilight, saying, No eye shall see me: and disguiseth [his] face.
When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.
Their feet [are] swift to shed blood:
For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause [some] to fall.
In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.
Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:
And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.
Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.
¶ And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:
Seven weeks shalt thou number unto thee: begin to number the seven weeks from [such time as] thou beginnest [to put] the sickle to the corn.
And, behold, there was a man which had [his] hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him.
And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:
