O house of Aaron, trust ye in the Lord: for he is their helpe and their shielde.
Ye that feare the Lord, trust in the Lord: for he is their helper and their shield.
It is better to trust in the Lord, then to haue confidence in man.
It is better to trust in the Lord, then to haue confidence in princes.
So shall I make answere vnto my blasphemers: for I trust in thy woorde.
A song of degrees. They that trust in the Lord, shalbe as mount Zion, which can not be remooued, but remaineth for euer.
But mine eyes looke vnto thee, O Lord God: in thee is my trust: leaue not my soule destitute.
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and leane not vnto thine owne wisdome.
He that trusteth in his riches, shall fall: but the righteous shall florish as a leafe.
In the feare of the Lord is an assured strength, and his children shall haue hope.
He that is wise in his busines, shall finde good: and he that trusteth in the Lord, he is blessed.
The Name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth vnto it, and is exalted.
He that is of a proude heart, stirreth vp strife: but he that trusteth in the Lord, shall be fatte.
Hee that trusteth in his owne heart, is a foole: but he that walketh in wisdome, shall be deliuered.
The feare of man bringeth a snare: but he that trusteth in the Lord, shalbe exalted.
Beholde, God is my saluation: I will trust, and will not feare: for ye Lord God is my strength and song: he also is become my saluation.
And they shall feare, and be ashamed of Ethiopia their expectation, and of Egypt their glory.
By an assured purpose wilt thou preserue perfite peace, because they trusted in thee.
Trust in the Lord for euer: for in the Lord God is strength for euermore.
Because ye haue said, We haue made a couenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement: though a scourge runne ouer, and passe through, it shall not come at vs: for we haue made falshood our refuge, and vnder vanitie are we hid,
And your couenant with death shalbe disanulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand: when a scourge shall runne ouer and passe through, then shall ye be trode downe by it.
Wo to the rebellious children, sayth the Lord, that take counsell, but not of me, and couer with a couering, but not by my spirit, that they may lay sinne vpon sinne:
Which walke forth to goe downe into Egypt (and haue not asked at my mouth) to strengthen them selues with the strength of Pharaoh, and trust in the shadowe of Egypt.
But the strength of Pharaoh shalbe your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.
They shalbe all ashamed of the people that cannot profite them, nor helpe nor doe them good, but shalbe a shame and also a reproche.
