  1. And he went and touched the coffin (and they that bare him, stoode still) and he said, Yong man, I say vnto thee, Arise.

  2. And thou shalt be blessed, because they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the iust.

  8. And this is the will of him that sent mee, that euery man which seeth the Sonne, and beleeueth in him, should haue euerlasting life: and I will raise him vp at the last day.

  9. No man can come to mee, except the Father, which hath sent mee, drawe him: and I will raise him vp at the last day.

  10. Martha said vnto him, I know that he shall rise againe in the resurrection at the last day.

  15. Then certaine Philosophers of the Epicures, and of the Stoickes, disputed with him, and some sayde, What will this babler say? Others sayde, He seemeth to be a setter forth of straunge gods (because hee preached vnto them Iesus, and the resurrection.)

  16. Now when they heard of the resurrection from the dead, some mocked, and other sayde, We will heare thee againe of this thing.

  17. But when Paul perceiued that the one part were of the Sadduces, and the other of the Pharises, hee cried in the Council, Men and brethren, I am a Pharise, the sonne of a Pharise: I am accused of the hope and resurrection of the dead.

  18. For the Sadduces say that there is no resurrection, neither Angel, nor spirit: but the Pharises confesse both.

  19. Seeing that thou mayest knowe, that there are but twelue dayes since I came vp to worship in Hierusalem.

  20. And they neither found mee in the Temple disputing with any man, neither making vproare among the people, neither in the Synagogues, nor in the citie.

  21. Neither can they proue the things, whereof they now accuse me.

  22. But this I confesse vnto thee, that after the way (which they call heresie) so worship I the God of my fathers, beleeuing all things which are written in the Lawe and the Prophets,

  23. And haue hope towardes God, that the resurrection of the dead, which they themselues looke for also, shalbe both of iust and vniust.

  24. Why should it be thought a thing incredible vnto you, that God should raise againe the dead?

  25. But if the Spirit of him that raised vp Iesus from the dead, dwell in you, he that raised vp Christ from the dead, shall also quicken your mortall bodies, by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
