Key Bible Verses
Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of the flesh and of the spirit, perfecting sanctification in the fear of God.
Now therefore you are no more strangers and foreigners: but you are fellow citizens with the saints and the domestics of God,
In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.
For unto you it is given for Christ, not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him:
For which cause, I also suffer these things: but I am not ashamed. For I know whom I have believed and I am certain that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him, against that day.
Whereby he is able also to save for ever them that come to God by him; always living to make intercession for us.
And they indeed for a few days, according to their own pleasure, instructed us: but he, for our profit, that we might receive his sanctification.
Now all chastisement for the present indeed seemeth not to bring with it joy, but sorrow: but afterwards it will yield to them that are exercised by it the most peaceable fruit of justice.
And to the church of the firstborn who are written in the heavens, and to God the judge of all, and to the spirits of the just made perfect,
So that we may confidently say: The Lord is my helper: I will not fear what man shall do to me.
And the scripture was fulfilled, saying: Abraham believed God, and it was reputed to him to justice, and he was called the friend of God.
Confess therefore your sins one to another: and pray one for another, that you may be saved. For the continual prayer of a just man availeth much.
By whom he hath given us most great and precious promises: that by these you may be made partakers of the divine nature: flying the corruption of that concupiscence which is in the world.
My little children, these things I write to you, that you may not sin. But if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the just.
And all that dwell upon the earth adored him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb which was slain from the beginning of the world.
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the pool of fire.
