  1. But they neglected and went their ways, one to his farm and another to his merchandise.

  2. And the rest laid hands on his servants and, having treated them contumeliously, put them to death.

  3. But when the king had heard of it, he was angry: and sending his armies, he destroyed those murderers and burnt their city.

  4. Then he saith to his servants: The marriage indeed is ready; but they that were invited were not worthy.

  5. Go ye therefore into the highways; and as many as you shall find, call to the marriage.

  6. And his servants going forth into the ways, gathered together all that they found, both bad and good: and the marriage was filled with guests.

  7. Then shall the king say to them that shall be on his right hand: Come, ye blessed of my Father, possess you the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

  8. For I was hungry, and you gave me to eat: I was thirsty, and you gave me to drink: I was a stranger, and you took me in:

  9. Naked, and you covered me: sick, and you visited me: I was in prison, and you came to me.

  10. Then shall the just answer him, saying: Lord, when did we see thee hungry and fed thee: thirsty and gave thee drink?

  11. Or when did we see thee a stranger and took thee in? Or naked and covered thee?

  12. Or when did we see thee sick or in prison and came to thee?

  13. And the king answering shall say to them: Amen I say to you, as long as you did it to one of these my least brethren, you did it to me.

  14. Then he shall say to them also that shall be on his left hand: Depart from me, you cursed, into everlasting fire, which was prepared for the devil and his angels.

  15. For I was hungry and you gave me not to eat: I was thirsty and you gave me not to drink.

  16. I was a stranger and you took me not in: naked and you covered me not: sick and in prison and you did not visit me.

  17. Then they also shall answer him, saying: Lord, when did we see thee hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison and did not minister to thee?

  18. Then he shall answer them, saying: Amen: I say to you, as long as you did it not to one of these least, neither did you do it to me.

  19. And these shall go into everlasting punishment: but the just, into life everlasting.

  20. And he said to him also that had invited him: When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends nor thy brethren nor thy kinsmen nor thy neighbours who are rich; lest perhaps they also invite thee again, and a recompense be made to thee.

  21. But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame and the blind.

  22. And thou shalt be blessed, because they have not wherewith to make thee recompense: for recompense shall be made thee at the resurrection of the just.

  23. And I commend to you Phebe, our sister, who is in the ministry of the church, that is in Cenchrae:

  24. That you receive her in the Lord as becometh saints and that you assist her in whatsoever business she shall have need of you. For she also hath assisted many, and myself also.
