But it is not so among you: but whosoever will be greater shall be your minister.
And whosoever will be first among you shall be the servant of all.
For the Son of man also is not come to be ministered unto: but to minister and to give his life a redemption for many.
You call me Master and Lord. And you say well: for so I am.
If then I being your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; you also ought to wash one another's feet.
For I have given you an example, that as I have done to you, so you do also.
Amen, amen, I say to you: The servant is not greater than his lord: neither is the apostle greater than he that sent him.
If you know these things, you shall be blessed if you do them.
Let every one of you Please his neighbour unto good, to edification.
For Christ did not please himself: but, as it is written: The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell upon me.
For what things soever were written were written for our learning: that, through patience and the comfort of the scriptures, we might have hope.
Now the God of patience and of comfort grant you to be of one mind, one towards another, according to Jesus Christ:
That with one mind and with one mouth you may glorify God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Wherefore, receive one another, as Christ also hath received you, unto the honour of God.
Be ye therefore followers of God, as most dear children:
And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us and hath delivered himself for us, an oblation and a sacrifice to God for an odour of sweetness.
For let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Who being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
But emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men, and in habit found as a man.
He humbled himself, becoming obedient unto death, even to the death of the cross.
Looking on Jesus, the author and finisher of faith, who, having joy set before him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and now sitteth on the right hand of the throne of God.
For think diligently upon him that endured such opposition from sinners against himself that you be not wearied, fainting in your minds.
For it is better doing well (if such be the will of God) to suffer than doing ill.
Because Christ also died once for our sins, the just for the unjust: that he might offer us to God, being put to death indeed in the flesh, but enlivened in the spirit,
