  1. If you had known me, you would without doubt have known my Father also: and from henceforth you shall know him. And you have seen him.

  8. He said to him the third time: Simon, son of John, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he had said to him the third time: Lovest thou me? And he said to him: Lord, thou knowest all things: thou knowest that I love thee. He said to him: Feed my sheep.

  9. Amen, amen, I say to thee, When thou wast younger, thou didst gird thyself and didst walk where thou wouldst. But when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee and lead thee whither thou wouldst not.

  10. And this he said, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had said this, he saith to him: Follow me.

  11. And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people. And they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch.

  12. But of the rest no man durst join himself unto them: but the people magnified them.

  13. And the multitude of men and women who believed in the Lord was more increased:

  14. Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that, when Peter came, his shadow at the least might overshadow any of them and they might be delivered from their infirmities.

  15. And there came also together to Jerusalem a multitude out of the neighbouring cities, bringing sick persons and such as were troubled with unclean spirits: who were all healed.
