  1. But being aided by the help of God, I stand unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying no other thing than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come to pass:

  2. And when they had appointed him a day, there came very many to him unto his lodgings. To whom he expounded, testifying the kingdom of God and persuading them concerning Jesus, out of the law of Moses and the prophets, from morning until evening.

  9. Now if the ministration of death, engraven with letters upon stones, was glorious (so that the children of Israel could not steadfastly behold the face of Moses, for the glory of his countenance), which is made void:

  10. And not as Moses put a veil upon his face, that the children of Israel might not steadfastly look on the face of that which is made void.

  11. But even until this day, when Moses is read, the veil is upon their heart.

  12. Now as Jannes and Mambres resisted Moses, so these also resist the truth, men corrupted in mind, reprobate concerning the faith.

  13. Who is faithful to him that made him, as was also Moses in all his house.

  14. For this man was counted worthy of greater glory than Moses, by so much as he that hath built the house hath greater honour than the house.

  15. And Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be said:

  16. For some who heard did provoke: but not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.

  17. For it is evident that our Lord sprung out of Juda: in which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priests.

  18. Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things. As it was answered to Moses, when he was to finish the tabernacle: See (saith he) that thou make all things according to the pattern which was shewn thee on the mount.

  19. For when every commandment of the law had been read by Moses to all the people, he took the blood of calves and goats, with water, and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people.

  20. By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months by his parents: because they saw he was a comely babe, and they feared not the king's edict.

  21. By faith Moses, when he was grown up, denied himself to be the son of Pharao's daughter:

  22. And so terrible was that which was seen, Moses said: I am frighted, and tremble.

  23. When Michael the archangel, disputing with the devil, contended about the body of Moses, he durst not bring against him the judgment of railing speech, but said: The Lord command thee.

  24. And singing the canticle of Moses, the servant of God, and the canticle of the Lamb, saying: Great and wonderful are thy works, O Lord God Almighty. Just and true are thy ways, O King of ages.
