Bible Verses About The Covenant
Key Bible Verses
I will establish his dynasty forever, and his throne as long as the heavens last.
"If his descendants abandon my Torah and fail to live by my rulings,
if they profane my regulations and don't obey my mitzvot,
I will punish their disobedience with the rod and their guilt with lashes.
But I won't withdraw my grace from him or be false to my faithfulness.
I will not profane my covenant or change what my lips have spoken.
I have sworn by my holiness once and for all; I will not lie to David
his dynasty will last forever, his throne like the sun before me.
It will be established forever, like the moon, which remains a faithful witness in the sky." (Selah)
For here is what ADONAI says: "As for the eunuchs who keep my Shabbats, who choose what pleases me and hold fast to my covenant:
in my house, within my walls, I will give them power and a name greater than sons and daughters; I will give him an everlasting name that will not be cut off.
"And the foreigners who join themselves to ADONAI to serve him, to love the name of ADONAI, and to be his workers, all who keep Shabbat and do not profane it, and hold fast to my covenant,
I will bring them to my holy mountain and make them joyful in my house of prayer; their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house will be called a house of prayer for all peoples."
"Here, the days are coming," says ADONAI, "when I will make a new covenant with the house of Isra'el and with the house of Y'hudah.
It will not be like the covenant I made with their fathers on the day I took them by their hand and brought them out of the land of Egypt; because they, for their part, violated my covenant, even though I, for my part, was a husband to them," says ADONAI.
"For this is the covenant I will make with the house of Isra'el after those days," says ADONAI: "I will put my Torah within them and write it on their hearts; I will be their God, and they will be my people.
Nevertheless, I will remember the covenant I made with you when you were a girl and will establish an everlasting covenant with you.
Then you will remember your behavior and be ashamed of it as you receive your older and younger sisters and make them your daughters, even though the covenant with you does not cover that;
and I will re-establish my covenant with you. Then you will know that I am ADONAI;
so that you will remember and be so ashamed that you will never open your mouth again, so ashamed will you be when I have forgiven you all that you have done,' says Adonai ELOHIM."
"Praised be ADONAI, the God of Isra'el, because he has visited and made a ransom to liberate his people
by raising up for us a mighty Deliverer who is a descendant of his servant David.
It is just as he has spoken through the mouth of the prophets from the very beginning --
that we should be delivered from our enemies and from the power of all who hate us.
"This has happened so that he might show the mercy promised to our fathers -- that he would remember his holy covenant,
