so a person lies down and doesn't arise until the sky no longer exists; it will not awaken, it won't be roused from its sleep.
In vain do you get up early and put off going to bed, working hard to earn a living; for he provides for his beloved, even when they sleep.
Lazybones! How long will you lie there in bed? When will you get up from your sleep?
"I'll just lie here a bit, rest a little longer, just fold my hands for a little more sleep"-
Then, without warning, a furious storm arose on the lake, so that waves were sweeping over the boat. But Yeshua was sleeping.
he said, "Everybody out! The girl isn't dead, she's only sleeping!" And they jeered at him.
But he was in the stern on a cushion, asleep. They woke him and said to him, "Rabbi, doesn't it matter to you that we're about to be killed?"
On entering, he said to them, "Why all this commotion and weeping? The child isn't dead, she's just asleep!"
So they set out; and as they were sailing, he fell asleep. A windstorm came down on the lake, so that the boat began to fill up with water, putting them in great danger.
All the people were wailing and mourning for her; but he said, "Don't weep; she hasn't died, she's sleeping."
Yeshua said these things, and afterwards he said to the talmidim, “Our friend El‘azar has gone to sleep; but I am going in order to wake him up.”
The talmidim said to him, “Lord, if he has gone to sleep, he will get better.”
do who have nothing to hope for. For since we believe that Yeshua died and rose again, we also believe that in the same way God, through Yeshua, will take with him those who have died.
