So man when he is fallen asleep shall not rise again; till the heavens be broken, he shall not awake, nor rise up out of his sleep.
For thou shalt eat the labours of thy hands: blessed art thou, and it shall be well with thee.
How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?
Thou wilt sleep a little, thou wilt slumber a little, thou wilt fold thy hands a little to sleep:
And behold a great tempest arose in the sea, so that the boat was covered with waves, but he was asleep.
He said: Give place, for the girl is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn.
And he was in the hinder part of the ship, sleeping upon a pillow; and they awake him, and say to him: Master, doth, it not concern thee that we perish?
And going in, he saith to them Why make you this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth.
And when they were sailing, he slept. And there came down a storm of wind upon the lake: and they were filled and were in danger.
And all wept and mourned for her. But he said: Weep not. The maid is not dead, but sleepeth.
These things he said; and after that he said to them: Lazarus our friend sleepeth: but I go that I may awake him out of sleep.
His disciples therefore said: Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well.
For this we say unto you in the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who remain unto the coming of the Lord, shall not prevent them who have slept.
