  1. I await Your salvation, O LORD.

  2. But if from there you will seek the LORD your God, you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul.

  14. For I was ashamed to ask the king for an escort of soldiers and horsemen to protect us from our enemies on the road, since we had told him, “The hand of our God is gracious to all who seek Him, but His great anger is against all who forsake Him.”

  15. However, if I were you, I would appeal to God and lay my cause before Him—

  16. But if you would earnestly seek God and ask the Almighty for mercy,

  17. if you are pure and upright, even now He will rouse Himself on your behalf and restore your righteous estate.

  18. Those who know Your name trust in You, for You, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You.

  19. The LORD looks down from heaven upon the sons of men to see if any understand, if any seek God.

  20. Hear, O LORD, my righteous plea; listen to my cry. Give ear to my prayer— it comes from lips free of deceit.

  21. May my vindication come from Your presence; may Your eyes see what is right.

  22. The poor will eat and be satisfied; those who seek the LORD will praise Him. May your hearts live forever!

  23. Who may ascend the hill of the LORD? Who may stand in His holy place?

  24. He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear deceitfully.

  25. He will receive blessing from the LORD and vindication from the God of his salvation.
