  1. For I received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which he was betrayed took bread;

  2. and when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, This is my body, which is for you: this do in remembrance of me.

  3. In like manner also the cup, after supper, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood: this do, as often as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

  4. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink the cup, ye proclaim the Lord’s death till he come.

  5. But all things are of God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and gave unto us the ministry of reconciliation;

  6. to wit, that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself, not reckoning unto them their trespasses, and having committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

  7. We are ambassadors therefore on behalf of Christ, as though God were entreating by us: we beseech you on behalf of Christ, be ye reconciled to God.

  8. Him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf; that we might become the righteousness of God in him.

  9. But now in Christ Jesus ye that once were far off are made nigh in the blood of Christ.

  10. For he is our peace, who made both one, and brake down the middle wall of partition,

  11. having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; that he might create in himself of the two one new man, so making peace;

  12. and might reconcile them both in one body unto God through the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

  13. and through him to reconcile all things unto himself, having made peace through the blood of his cross; through him, I say, whether things upon the earth, or things in the heavens.

  14. And you, being in time past alienated and enemies in your mind in your evil works,

  15. yet now hath he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and without blemish and unreproveable before him:

  16. For Christ entered not into a holy place made with hands, like in pattern to the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear before the face of God for us:

  17. nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place year by year with blood not his own;

  18. else must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once at the end of the ages hath he been manifested to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

  19. And inasmuch as it is appointed unto men once to die, and after this cometh judgment;

  20. so Christ also, having been once offered to bear the sins of many, shall appear a second time, apart from sin, to them that wait for him, unto salvation.

  21. Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, But a body didst thou prepare for me;

  22. In whole burnt offerings andsacrificesfor sin thou hadst no pleasure:

  23. Then said I, Lo, I am come (In the roll of the book it is written of me) To do thy will, O God.

  24. Saying above, Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings andsacrificesfor sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein (the which are offered according to the law),

  25. then hath he said, Lo, I am come to do thy will. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
